Everything can be hacked, and everyone.
When you target a creature with this spell you can seal away one or more of its special abilities or class features (including spellcasting), preventing it from being used for the duration. It doesn't prevent the use of other abilities, and you can't deny the ability to make normal physical attacks. You can seal away one ability plus one more for every 5 caster levels you have. Afflicted creatures can reattempt the saving throw if they take a standard action.
You can also deny the function of objects. Traps do not trigger, potions fail to come out of their container or apply their effects. Doors do not open and are treated as locked by arcane lock for the duration. And so forth. This does not prevent unconventional use of the item outside of its intended function, and it does not disable weapons.
If cast in a spell slot two levels higher it becomes Mass Denial, affecting all targets in the area.
Focus: A glass hexagon.
