Dense Weapon
Transmutation
Level: Ranger 1, Shugenja (Earth) 2, Sorcerer/Wizard 2
Components: V, S, M
Casting time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Target: One weapon
Duration: 10 minutes/level
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: No

Your sword feels unusually heavy, but you manage to keep it upright. The monster you struck didn't remain upright though...

You enhance a weapon with supernatural density, which doubles the base weapon damage (including enhancement bonus but not from Strength) for the duration. However, the weapon doubles in weight and every attack you make with the dense weapon gives you a -1 AC penalty for one round. For example, a fighter swings four times with a dense battleaxe, taking a -4 AC penalty for 1 round.

Material Component: A nugget of osmium alloy.
