Brambleroot
Conjuration (Creation)
Level: Druid 3
Components: V, S, DF
Casting time: 1 standard action
Range: Close (25 ft + 5 ft/2 levels)
Area: One 5 ft square/level, all which must be connected in one continuous path (S)
Duration: Permanent until discharged (D)
Saving Throw: Reflex half
Spell Resistance: No

The soil turned as thick thorny roots ripped out of the ground, and into the flesh of your victims.

You create a continuous path of thorny branches that erupt from the ground, injuring anyone up to 5 ft up from the surface and dealing 1d6 points of magic piercing damage/level (maximum 10d6 at CL 10th) with a Reflex save for half. After the bushes initially appear they remain where they are and provide difficult terrain and deal 1d6 piercing damage to any creature walking through a space occupied by a bush. The bushes can be destroyed (5 hp, hardness 5 bypassed by fire), but within the heart of these bushes is an explosive sap. When destroyed they blow up in a 5 ft radius burst dealing 6 magic piercing damage with a Reflex save for half. This damage does not harm other bushes. If multiple bushes explode, their explosions only require one saving throw against them but add their damage together for the purpose of bypassing DR. You can choose to suppress these death throe explosions as a non-action if you are aware, and destruction by cold damage does not trigger the explosion.

As a standard action you can detonate any number of bushes you own. If the bush is dispelled its explosive property is removed and it remains as a mundane bush. This spell can only be cast upon soil, gravel, dirt, sand, or some other burrow-able surface.
