Llaman

Nobody expects the llama. Especially the llama with the humanoid face. The llaman are said to be byproducts of a night of drunken stupor and cake, and a bet Lord Eiji made with some mortals for the worst idea ever.

And now, your sanity is forfeit.

Personality

It is no surprise that beings created by a chaos deity would retain aspects of him. Though not restricted by alignment, many llamans get infected with a shard of wanderlust, an impulse, or some other obsession from which they build their mindset around. And for some, that tends to change as time goes on and the wind blows.

Physical Description

Imagine a llama of color too bright, with the face of a human poking out of their long and all too flexible necks. Their appearance as a llama is only skin deep, as they are as intelligent as any man. Their forehooves are actually segmented to act as rudimentary hands, though most prefer to use their mouths as a third hand for tasks that do not require immediate attention, and their large wooly hides as a method of storage.

Relations

The llamans have no nation, for as soon as their lot formed from their god's creation pool they ran to the ends of the earth. Though rare and scattered, more keep appearing in the world somehow. Perhaps they breed true. Maybe the rumors that they multiply though spores is accurate. Either way, there are not enough in the world to form any sort of unique civilization and relationship with other nations or species on a whole.

Alignment

While llamans can be any alignment, chaotic alignments seems natural to their kin.

Lands

Llamans do not have a homeland, and are said to have been spat out of Limbo one day suddenly in great number.

Religion

While llaman are spawned from the chaotic machinations of Lord Eiji, they are not reliant to worship for them. Lord Eiji does not seem to care how they worship either way.

Language

Llaman speak Common and Sylvan.

Names

Llaman adopt the names of the cultures around them, as they have no homeland to call their own.

Racial Traits

  • +2 to any attribute: The skill of llamans varies as much as their wool colors do.
  • Magical Beast: One cannot day these quadruped beings are humanoid in the slightest.
  • Medium: As a Medium creature, a llaman has no special bonuses or penalties due to its size.
  • Llaman base land speed is 40 feet.
  • Darkvision: A llaman can see in the dark up to 60 feet. Darkvision is black and white only, but it is otherwise like normal sight, and a llaman can function just fine with no light at all.
  • Low-Light Vision: A llaman can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. She retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions.
  • Extend Neck (Su): Llamans possess the unnatural ability to extend their necks out to absurd lengths. As a move action they can stretch their necks out to 60 ft long, taking their heads with it. While extended, their control over their necks is limited and they cannot properly wield weapons out in this state. They can still grasp and hold items, and can potentially grab onto ledges and pull themselves up. If holding onto a ledge any Climb check they need to make is halved, or any climb speed they obtain is doubled. They can retract their necks as a free action. The length of their neck does make them have a -4 penalty to any AC or saving throw which specifically targets the neck, such as a confirmation roll on a vorpal weapon.
  • Monstrous Form (Ex): Llamans count as having monstrous bodies and require barding for the purpose of armor costs. They have a +4 bonus on ability checks made to resist being bull rushed or tripped when standing on the ground (but not when climbing, flying, riding, or otherwise not standing firmly on the ground). They lack a magic item slot for rings and gloves, but have an extra slot for feet. Llamans are medium quadrupeds, but are capable of holding medium and smaller riders as if they were a large creature. They are not large creatures for any other aspect.
  • Mouthgrip (Ex): The mouth of a llaman is as good as one-hand for any purpose, even wielding weapons or making somatic components with silly faces. However if they have something in their mouths, they are unable to make vocal components and can only communicate the most basic of messages through mumbled mouthfuls.
  • Nimble Hooves (Ex): A llaman can briefly stand on their hind legs and use their forehooves, which are split in such a way as to mimic the grip of a hand. They can hold items just fine, but items wielded in their forehooves take a -2 penalty on any action involving them, and their movement speed drops to 20 ft while doing this. Standing or dropping from quadruped stance is a free action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity.
  • Velcro Wool (Ex): With limited hands comes difficulties holding items. Fortunately their thick wool coats are styled in such a way as to promote their ability to attach items to them via velcro-like action. They can store up to two handfuls of items in their wool, sticking to their side. Their thick wool also provides a +1 natural armor bonus and the extraordinary effect of endure elements.
