Antmasters are often telepaths or latent telepaths who for some unknown reason manage to create a psionic bond with ants. This bond is highly powerful, allowing the antmaster to control pretty much any ant with their mind and even other vermins. The 'bulk' of antmaster (there very few of them for obvious reason) are telepaths or vitalists who were obsessed with ant and somehow created a psychic hivemind capable of directing, controlling and understanding the ants.

Becoming a Antmaster[edit]

Entry Requirements  
Skills: Knowledge (Nature) 5 ranks. 
Feats: Verminfriend
Manifesting: Must have a reserve of at least 1 power points and know at least one telepathy power.. 
Special: Must have spent 24 hours talking to ants like a lunatic.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Antmaster.

Manifesting: At each level except the 1st, you gain power points per day, an increase in manifester level, and new powers as if you had also gained a level in a manifesting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one manifesting class before becoming a antmaster, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining powers, manifester level, and powers known.

If you did not had levels in a manifesting class prior of taking level in Antmaster you instead gain a bonus feat you meet the prerequisite of at 3rd and 5th level.

Antfriend (Ex): A 1st level antmaster possess a powerful mindlink with ants. Mindless ants or ant-like creatures (such as giant ants) always see her as a friend unless attacked.

Command Ant (Ps): A 1st level antmaster is able to use psionic dominate as a psi-like ability at will, however she may only affect creature of the ant-like creatures of the vermin type. Her manifester level is equal to her character levels or 7, whichever is higher.

At 4th level this ability extend to all vermins.

Verminpathy: A 1st level antmaster ignore immunity to [mind-affecting], [compulsion] and [charm] effects against creatures of the vermin type.

Ant Army (Su): A 2nd level antmaster may once per day as a full-round action the antmaster can call upon an army of giant ants. She may call her CR -3 (minimum 1) in giant ants, they arrive within 1d4 round to serve the antmaster for 24 hours before departing.

Psychic Pheromones (Su): A 2nd level antmaster release psychic pheromones that are very effective against pretty much all creatures. She gain a +4 bonus on all charisma based checks against living creatures. Additionally she may use psionic charm as a psi-like ability each 1d4 hours.

At 4th level the power of her pheromones increase further, as standard action she may give a order as the command spell. Additionally she may use psionic suggestion as a psi-like ability each 1d4 hours.

Hivemind (Ex): A 3rd level antmaster is now sharing a hive mind with her ants, any ant she dominated or called with the ant Army ability are in constant communication. The range of the hive mind is one mile per class level and include any ant under the control of the antmaster. If one is aware of a particular danger, they all are (including the antmaster). If one in a group is not flatfooted, none of them are (including the antmaster). No formian in a group is considered flanked unless all of them are (including the antmaster).

Ant Construct (Ps): A 5th level antmaster is able to use astral construct as a spell-like ability at will with a manifester level equal to her character level. Unlike a normal astral construct this construct always look like an oversized ant and count as a ant for the purpose of interacting with the antmaster class features (such as the hive mind) and other vermins. You may have only one ant construct at any time.
