Arcane Traditionalist
The Unlettered Arcanist is a fun idea, if generally thought to be a little underwhelming. This archetype attempts the same thing from another angle, retaining the witch's own unique ability rather than the arcanist's.
Class: Witch
Level: 1st
Replaces: Spellcasting, Patron Spells
Benefit: A witch with this archetype cast and prepares her spell as an Arcanist of her level, she has one less spell prepared per day than an arcanist of her level. She still uses the witch spell list and communes with her familiar to prepare spells as normal. The arcane traditionalist may spontaneously convert a spell slot to cast one of her patron spells of the same level or lower.
