Atmawater[edit]

A strange fluid substance not unlike water, it reacts with psychic energy to form constructs and shapes. In truth the substance what makes atmawater is a thin barely present ectoplasmic transparent superstructure which is indeed solid and when fully compressed and folded up in often no bigger than a grain of salt. It expands in water, forming a extremely strong surface tension and channeling psychic energy through it. From this shapes can be formed of all sorts all while being as strong as your own steel will. It gives the appearance of the item being made out of water which dances with the dull purple glow of psychic potential. In all cases the creature needs to have at least 1 power point remaining in order to use an atmawater item, otherwise it is merely a strangely shaped blob of water.

Any weapon can be made as an atmawater weapon, both flexible and hard as the substance flexes as needed. It grants the user the ability to shapeshift their weapon into a different weapon they are proficient with the same handedness. For example, a dagger could become a sap, or a greatsword could become a longspear, but a longspear could not become a dagger. Shifting a weapon is the same action as drawing a weapon. It may also be collapsed into water droplet form, effectively one size smaller for the purpose of concealing away. It gains a +10 bonus vs checks to discover its nature if placed in a bottle or amongst water, and requires a DC 20 Spot check to even see it amongst normal water. If an atmawater weapon is sundered, it may be pieced back together as a full round action of meditation without the loss of enchantments.

Atmawater can be mineralized with deep crystal for an additional 1000 gp, gaining the properties of deep crystal along with the atmawater properties. Deep crystal atmawater counts as a metal for the purpose of spells, effects, and class features.

Atmawater shields are treated as weapons. The fact they are transparent may be beneficial for those hiding behind said shields.

Any armor can be made as an atmawater armor. Donning or removing the armor is always a swift or a move action, as it merely requires a thought. The armor protects its user from extremely high pressure and the bends, and substances that would stick to the user such as a tanglefoot bag or the persistent damage in an acid arrow slide off in 1 round. However the creature may still be grappled, and it does not effect armor check penalty or arcane spell failure as the substance is just as "hard" as it normally should be. Creatures benefit from endure elements while wearing armor.

If used to make a helmet, you can choose to have the helmet become airtight. You would need to be able to breathe water in order to make use of it, but doing so protects you from any inhaled poisons or hazards.

Atmawater is so costly that weapons and armor made from it are always of masterwork quality; the masterwork cost is included in the prices given below. Thus, atmawater weapons and ammunition have a +1 enhancement bonus on attack rolls, and armor and shields have their armor check penalty decreased by 1.

Atmawater has 3 hit points per inch of thickness and hardness 0. It takes quarter damage from fire and cold, half damage from acid force and sonic, full damage from electricity, and is immune to physical damage. Effects which destroy water and which deal more damage against water-based creatures work on atmawater. Submerging it in water regenerates 1 hp per round.

Type of Atmawater Item Item Cost Modifier
Ammunition +120 gp
Armor +2400 gp
Weapons and Shields +6000 gp
Add Deep Crystal +1000 gp
Helmets +800 gp
