Auraknife
Rather than forming a weapon out of their mind, the auraknife draws upon her own personal aura. When made into a weapon, the auraknife has great control over it lethality, but is not easily separated from it. An auraknife eschew both armor and mental attacks, using her aura for defensive purposes.
Class: 3.5e Soulknife and Pathfinder Soulknife
Level: 1st, 3rd, 7th, 11th, 15th, 19th
Replaces: Armor and Shield Proficiency, Throw Mind Blade, Psychic Strike
Benefit: An auraknife gain the following class features:
Aura Sense (Ex): If the auraknife wears no armor, uses no shield and is carrying no more than a light load she adds her Wisdom modifier to her AC. She does not lose this bonus if she is caught flat-footed, but does so if she is immobilized.
Aura Blade (Su): An auraknife's mind blade is made of her own aura, an integral part of herself, this allows her greater control over its lethality. An auraknife may always deal non-lethal damage with her mind blade and psychic strike without penalties. She also gain Golden Legion's Stayed Blade as a bonus feat even if she does not meet the prerequisite, but it only applies to her mind blade attacks.
This ability alters form mind blade replaces throw mind blade.
Aura Dampening (Su): An auraknife is protected by a sheet of her own aura, dampening and deflecting incoming blows. As long as she is psionically focused, the aura blade gains a +1 deflection bonus to her AC and can convert 1 point of lethal damage to 1 point of nonlethal damage. She can use this ability once each time he takes damage. At 7th level and each four levels thereafter, the deflection bonus and amount of damage converted increases by 1. If an attack would only deal non-lethal damage, such as being fully converted by her ability or being dealt nonlethal damage, then she reduces the amount of nonlethal damage she takes by twice this bonus.
This ability replaces Psychic Strike.
