Biostasis Ichor[edit]
This dark blue liquid is meant to be transfused into the blood with proper medical equipment. When doing so, its subject enters a state of hibernation over the course of 1 minute, and their body enters a death-like helpless stupor. In this state they age slowly, aging 1 day every year, and have no need to eat or breathe for the duration. They are immune to bleeding, and treat all damage as non-lethal damage. They remain in a coma until the flow of ichor is removed (a DC 10 Heal check) and take 1d8 hours to recover from before the target wakes up, or half that time with a DC 20 Heal check. If somehow applied to the unwilling, it can be resisted with a DC 13 Fortitude save, save negates.
This is usually used in surgical operations to keep the patient alive in invasive and dangerous procedures, and to that they provide a +2 circumstance bonus to Heal checks during surgeries. It's important not to keep the subject under for too long. For every 24 hours the subject remains in a coma, there is a 5% chance they will not wake again short of effects such as break enchantment or higher.
Faint necromancy; CL 3rd; Brew Potion, gentle repose; Price 150 gp.
