You vomit up a pale slug known as a brain worm, which contains a shard of your mental presence. When introduced to a helpless creature with an Intelligence score of 3 or higher it crawls into their brain and connects you mentally to them. A successful Fortitude save kills the brain worm before it connects, but causes the target to suffer 11d6 points of non-lethal damage from psychic backlash. Inserting a worm is a touch attack that provokes attacks of opportunity.

You gain unlimited range telepathy and the effect of status with those you have infected. By concentrating, you can gain the senses of your target allowing you to see and hear where they are. You may use any psionic power you have against them as if they were in range, but at a -4 penalty to manifester level. Through your telepathy and aggressive encouragement you can attempt to manipulate your target to doing what you want. As a standard action you can assume direct control as if using sleeper agent, but doing so burns out the worms power and leaves your victim unobserved and uncontrolled for 24 hours.

Once affected the creature is unable to speak of or directly indicate they are infected with a worm, nor take any actions directly against the worm, though knowledge may get out indirectly and they may passively accept treatment. Because the victim is not under any supernatural compulsion, effects which affect compulsion abilities do not function with exception of the sleeper agent ability. Removing the worm requires invasive surgery, or limited wish and stronger similar effects.

Worms created die out within 24 hours if they do not find a host. The worm is a Fine vermin with AC 18, 1 hp, 1 Str/10 Dex/10 Con/- Int/- Wis/1 Cha, and always fails its saving throws.

Insight Cost: 1.

Augment: If you spend 2 additional power points, you can apply the worm to pinned targets with a successful grapple check.

If you spend 4 additional power points, there is no saving throw.
