Black Mark[edit]

As the hammer pulled back off the flesh of the barbarian, a horrible black mark sizzled upon the wound foretelling a terrible fate.

When a creature is struck by a black mark weapon, they gain a "black mark", a contingent curse waiting to happen. Every blow landed stacks an additional curse, to a maximum of 4 marks. As an immediate action you can discharge the black marks on a creature to penalize them with a penalty to any d20 roll, up to the number of marks they possessed (max 4). This is considered a [Curse] effect, and can be removed by remove curse, and automatically fades after 24 hours.

Moderate Necromancy; CL 7th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, bestow curse; Price: +1.
