This eastern curved sword is razor sharp, the cutting edge a frighteningly vibrant red. It seems almost magnetically attracted to blood, which it drinks up with a great thirst.
A disturbing masterwork scimitar on its own, it radiates magic and can be enhanced as if it already had a +1, yet seems normal (save its unique appearance). However a wielder can choose to ritualistically stab themselves as a move action, sheathing the weapon. This deals the weapon damage (do not add Strength) to the user, plus 1d4 points of temporary Con damage which cannot be healed as long as the blade is inside you.
As a free action you can draw the blade, recovering the Con damage immediately (but not automatically recovering the hp lost by the process), the wound closing up. The weapon has an enhancement bonus equal to the amount of Con damage you had taken, and this bonus stacks with pre-existing enhancement bonuses on the weapon. This effect lasts for 5 minutes before returning to its normal state.
This weapon seems attracted to blood bearing creatures, and does +1 additional damage to them. It takes a -1 damage penalty on creatures with no blood at all, such as golems.
Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, greater magic weapon, vampiric touch.
