Bond of the Spider [Symbiotic] Prerequisites: Aspect of the Vermin class feature, Aspect of the Spider.Benefit: [Symbiotic] feats increase the effectiveness of your [Hivemaster] feats. For your aspect of the spider feat, you are considered to have one more level in hivemaster. The individual benefits of that feat are also altered, as follows.

3: The spider is famous for their unique way to eat their food, as they liquify the insides of their prey, just to suck out the resultant fluid. This allows them to eat things rather quickly, and it allows you to gain sustenance even quicker, as you take on this trait yourself. You gain the ability to take any dead or helpless creature that you would normally be able to consume, and begin eating them from the inside out. It takes one minute for you to eat a medium sized creature. It takes twice as long to eat something large sized (four times as long for huge sized creatures, etc.), and half as long for something small sized (one fourth as long for tiny creatures, etc.). After you finish eating a creature, it dies, if it wasn't already dead, and you are healed one hp per HD of the consumed creature. You may not take any actions while consuming a creature, and the creature must be helpless or dead for the entire time you are attempting to consume them.

7: Spiders never have to be watching a foe to notice that they are there, for they can rest on their webs and immediately know when something has so much as touched it. You gain Tremorsense at a range of 5 feet per hivemaster level. If you already have Tremorsense for whatever reason, then the range of that Tremorsense doubles, instead.

11: Spiders are patient hunters that have risen to a high standing point in the insect kingdom, for their clever traps and ambush tactics. You have begun to take on this trait yourself, and you can lay a clever trap for your foes. You gain the ability to spend a full minute working in an area and use up a daily usage of your 'web casting' ability, and create a web trap with an area of one 10 foot square per hivemaster level. This web can line a tunnel, be stretched over an openning, or just be layed out across the ground. When something comes within 5 feet of an area of this trap, they must succeed on a spot check (DC 10 + hivemaster level + con modifier), or not notice that it exists. If a creature stumbles into the web, they are immediately trapped, as though by a successful 'web casting' attack (as gained from the aspect of the spider feat), except that the bonds that create the entanglement are treated as being anchorred to an immobile object. This web is too slight to notice via non-visual senses unless you know that it is there. You are immune to the effects of your own web. After 24 hours, the web dries out and must be renewed.

15: Spiders are seemingly always tense for their prey to arrive, and can spring upon them in an instant, before biting into them and ending their life quickly. You have taken on this trait of the spider, and become blindingly fast, granting you a 30 foot increase to your base land speed. Also, the climb speed you gained from the spider climb effect from the original aspect of the spider feat, is changed to be equal to your base land speed, instead of being simply 20 feet.

Special: A character can only have a number of [Symbiotic] feats equal to the number of times that they have gained the Aspect of the Vermin class feature.
