Combat Operator

A combat operator is a specialist of logistics and tactical knowledge, instead of relying on inspiring allies on the battlefield. They are shrewd and favor cunning teamwork over inspiring shouts of glory.

Class: Commander

Level: 1st-20th

Replaces: Weapon and Armor Proficiency, Brave Cheer, Bonus Feats, Spirit of the Party

Benefit: A combat operator gain the following class features:

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Combat operators are proficient with all simple and martial weapons, with light armor and with shields (except tower shields).

Educated (Ex): A combat operator add Disable Device, Hide, Knowledge (Engineering), Move Silently and Use Magic Device as class skills and gain 2 additional skill points per level.

Teamwork Feat (Ex): At 1st, 3rd level and every 3 levels thereafter, a combat operator gains a teamwork feat she meets the prerequisite of.

Team Command (Ex): A combat operator is an expert at coordinating her team. She grants a single teamwork feat to all allies within 60 feet of her which she can communicate to. Her allies do not need to meet the prerequisites of the granted teamwork feat. The combat operator can change which teamwork feat she grants as a swift action.

At 5th level, a combat operator can grant two teamwork feats she has to her allies. She can change one or more teamwork feat as a swift action.

At 10th level, a combat operator's team command ability extends to 120 feet.

At 15th level, a combat operator grant three teamwork feat she has instead of two

At 20th level, the combat operator is the pinnacle of command, she can grant up to four teamwork feats and the range of her Team Command ability extends to 1 mile.

Rogue Talents (Ex): A combat operator gains a rogue talent at 2nd level and every 2 levels thereafter as a rogue of her class level. A combat operator cannot select a rogue talent which depends on sneak attack. At 10th level a combat operator can select advanced rogue talents.

Relay Command (Ex) and (Sp): At 3rd level, if a combat operator communicate with an ally remotely she can grant the benefit of her Team Command ability to that ally and all allies within 30 feet of them for 1 round. Relay Command can be used once per round as a free action. Additionally the combat operator can use message as a spell-like ability at will.

Nimble (Ex): At 4th level, the combat operator gains a +1 dodge bonus to AC and a +1 bonus to Initiative while wearing light or no armor. Anything that causes her to lose her Dexterity bonus to AC also causes her to lose this dodge bonus. This bonus increases by +1 for every three levels beyond 2nd level (to a maximum of +6 at 19th level).

Logistical Magic (Sp): At 8th level, a combat operator may use sending as a spell-like ability a number of times per day equal to her Intelligence modifier (minimum 1).
