"BARK!" went the corgi. The hound archon sighed in reply, "No, you don't understand!"
The hound archons don't talk about their little brothers. They are embarrassing to think about, but not all hound archons are great and powerful looking dogs. Some are short. Some are corgis. They are the runt of the little.
Do not mistake the cute and docile appearance of the corgi archon to mean they are not dangerous. Indeed, they are actually more dangerous than hound archons in some respects. Or maybe less. It's really up in the air.
Corgi archons look like short humanoids with corgi heads. They speak Common and Celestial, but mostly just bark.
Corgi archons run in and out, stabbing people as they run by. It really shouldn't work as well as it does, but there you go. They're usually found in troops of their larger hound archon brothers due to their inability to teleport on their own, or produce a magic circle against evil.
Corgi archons are proficient with all armors and all shields (except tower shields).
Armor Mastery (Ex): The corgi archon increases the Maximum Dex of their armor by 1, and decreases the armor check penalty by 1. They can move in medium and heavy armor with no reduction in speed.
Aura of Adorableness (Su): A playful aura surrounds corgi archons that fight or get angry. No matter how fierce they try to look, it's just too cute. Any hostile creature within a 20-foot radius of a corgi archon must succeed on a Will save (DC 12 + 1/2 HD + Charisma) to resist its effects. Those who fail are flatfooted against the corgi archon until they are successfully hit by the archon that generated the aura. A creature that has resisted or broken the effect cannot be affected again by the same corgi archon’s aura for 24 hours.
Change Shape (Su): A corgi archon can only assume the form of a corgi at will. Treat as a celestial dog. While in canine form, the corgi archon loses its bite, slam, and rapier attacks, but gains the bite attack of the form it chooses.
Ride Teleport (Su): A corgi archon cannot teleport on their own, but they can ride a teleportation within 30 ft as an immediate action. Riding a teleport does not count for how many creatures the teleporter can normally carry (even teleport self only). They can attempt to ride a teleport of an unwilling creature, but they must succeed on an opposed caster level check. If successful, they follow the teleportation effect as if brought willingly.
Skills: *While in canine form, a corgi archon hero gains a +4 circumstance bonus on Hide and Survival checks.
