Sandboxing vs. Deleting[edit]

Hi folks! Do you think that we could change Winter Cleaning a bit, so that instead of things being deleted after 2 weeks of no changes or comments, things are moved to original owner's sandbox after 2 weeks of having the Winter Cleaning tag? Then they can return once they are fixed, but are otherwise out of the way and not cluttering the wiki. If they are not commented on for 2 weeks, then perhaps they can be deleted then. -- Aelaris 22:34, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

The policy to delete is rather harsh for the winter cleaning template. Plus there already is a template for deletion called the deletion template. Thus, the winter cleaning template should sandbox instead of delete articles after two weeks.
Also, there are quite a few articles with this template currently in the mainspace. Some have had the template for years, well past the two weeks. The template itself is useful, but only insofar as if it is enforced. Is sandboxing a winter cleaning article after two weeks the sole responsibility of admins? Because if not, this burden can be easily handled.--Franken Kesey 10:56, 6 April 2019 (MDT)
This category should be revisited. Currently, articles can have the template without enforcement for years. And sandboxing is a more common and better option than strict deletion.--Franken Kesey 09:43, 30 April 2019 (MDT)

DraconicMan[edit]

So for some reason DraconicMan's stuff still shows up in the main areas even though I've sandboxed his stuff. What gives? -- Eiji-kun (talk) 11:46, 2 March 2015 (UTC)

I tried 4 pages from his list, and saw none of them. Which ones are you referring to? - Tarkisflux Talk 19:58, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
Found some spells that were showing, fixed the templates to resolve that. Anything else I'm not seeing? - Tarkisflux Talk 20:19, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
