|Saving Throw:||Will negates|
A spark snaps upon the warrior's sword, and the sword abruptly springs to life! It bounces out of the warrior's hands, growing tiny metal feet as it runs away!
You briefly give life to unliving matter, but fail to give it any sort of sense other than a motive force. You can target an object up to medium size, and the object gains a land speed of 30 ft, which it will proceed to move about randomly each round. Treat it as an animated object, but it possesses no attacks nor any desire to do so. It merely runs around randomly for the duration.
Those adjacent to such an animated object are jostled by it, taking a -3 penalty to attack rolls, AC, and skill checks. They also must make a DC 20 Concentration check. The object has a 20% chance of moving towards the closest creature to jostle it, otherwise it just moves randomly.
This spell is often used on weapons to effectively disarm others. Creatures must make grapple checks once a round against the animated object to hold it. Its effective grapple score is your caster level + your spellcasting modifier. They take the jostling penalty while held or otherwise attempting to use the item in question.
At 8th level (and every four levels beyond) you can animate an object up to one size category larger.
Most spellcasters agree after careful study of this spell that it probably was a mistake and never meant to be published.
