The experiment harness is a bulky breastplate-like harness, worn over armor and clothing. The harness covers the entire torso of the wearer, including the arms and hands. It was originally designed for scientists in order to perform dangerous magical experiments. It comes with the protective breastplate, able to withstand radiation and explosion, a recording system and gloves that can be used to sterilize surfaces. The gauntlets provided with the harness can be replaced by magical hand items without impacting the suit's performance.
Wearing it provides a +2 armor bonus to AC, Energy Resistance 5 and DR 5/ against environmental damage and a +4 bonus on saves against radiation and environmental hazards (including planar effects). The harness is motorized, increasing the wearer's Strength by 4 while worn, but only for Strength-checks and for calculating carrying capacity. The suit immediately alerts the wearer if they are exposed to contaminants or radiation concentrated in a dangerous level, either long-term and short-term, with a different alarm for each.
The wearer of the suit has a constant detect radiation as extraordinary abilities. The suit can also replicate the effect of analyze object, but only to determine chemical and physical properties of mundane substances.
However the harness is heavy and difficult to move in, counting as heavy armor for the purpose of movement and suffering from a -2 armor check penalty.
