Roughly the size and shape of a human head, with an extended skull and held up by a impossible halo of floating rings above its head, this alien probe sports a single large optic where a face should be, and a pair of silvery tendrils curled up under its chin.
Mysterious probes from beyond the stars, or perhaps even beyond reality, these alien bots appear to be observers for a single large entity known as Orz. While each probe has its own mindset, goals, and ideas they are all part of a subconscious hivemind, and their every experience remembered and recorded somewhere for obscure goals. Though its creator is unknown, the probes do not appear to be inherently hostile. They hunger for knowledge, and are often found exploring and looting ancient ruins for goods. They keep to themselves but are willing to parley with other creatures in order to achieve their goals.
The probes seem to be weightless but possess considerable mass, apparently as hefty as 200 lbs.
Combat is a last resort, and most eyes would just flee. If pressed, they try to obtain a tactical advantage using its surroundings and any allies it may have. And at the very least, it is extraordinarily durable and tends to destroy the weapons attacking it by the nature of its armor.
If an eye dies, it immediately destabilizes and is sucked into the Far Realm in a blast of light.
Fluid Manipulators (Ex): The eyes of orz have a silvery "blood" which can be shaped and controlled, and sometimes flow outside of its body for repair or manipulation. It can form tentacles which to manipulate things as effectively as two hands, and it is capable of disintegrating materials (including force) on a touch. Creatures which perish from the tentacle attacks are reduced to ash.
Creatures which successfully hit the eyes of orz deal twice their base weapon damage to their weapon (though hardness applies). For something like an iron dagger (2d4), hardness will always handle it, but stronger weapons such as a greatsword (4d6) become capable of damaging themselves. For unarmed strikes and natural weapons, the creature attacking takes the damage instead. Damage is of the same type as the attack.
Superior Limited Programming (Ex): The eyes of orz uses its Wisdom score as a stand-in Intelligence score, including skills or feats. It is capable of thinking and acting tactically, but has no free will and will follow its programming the best of its ability, using its intelligence to reach the goal with the greatest chance of success.
As a result of its superior intellect, it is capable of taking complex orders with multiple exceptions, exclusions, and up to 10 contingencies or if/than statements. However any command done through the program skill override this superior intellect. The eyes of orz is considered a complex machine with an additional +20 difficulty on the Programming DC.
Spell-Like Abilities (Sp): At will- identify, object insight, repair light damageSpC; 1/day- dimension door, greater dispel magic, passage of the warp, true seeing. The saving throws are Intelligence based.
