An ornate carving of a cat made out of limestone has a chocolate and cream pattern along its body. When activated, its eyes open and it lets out a loud meow.
When animated, a limestone cat acts in all ways like a normal cat. Unlike most figurines of wondrous power, it is NOT under the command of its possessor. Instead it acts as a non-hostile housecat; generally aloof, sometimes needy and annoying, more than happy to sit right where you need to be, and while very cute not very useful. For its original creators it was considered a failure, but limestone cats are sometimes made as novelty pets. The item can be used every day for up to 6 hours per use. When 6 hours have passed or when the command word is spoken, the limestone cat once again becomes a tiny statuette.
