Germanium Alloy[edit]
A rare silver-colored metalloid, germanium would see little use in combat because while hard it is brittle and does not hold an edge. However, it possesses a rare and almost impossible to find trait making it akin to silver. It is extremely baneful to of eldritch abomination, turning into an extremely toxic substance on contact with their blood (or other approximate). An alchemical process was developed to allow for germanium weapons, making them wildly popular with aberration hunters. It is also known as consecrated germanium or germanium alloy because of the tiny amount of iridium used in the process.
A germanium alloy weapon is as effective as a simple steel weapon, but slightly tougher and harder. The baneful effect of germanium show on creatures of the aberration type, outsider with the augmented aberration subtype, creatures with the abomination subtype, outsider native to the far realm, elder evil and obyriths (or other suitable creature matching the eldritch abomination description). If used against them it automatically bypasses any damage reduction and overcomes any regeneration they might possess. A germanium weapon automatically bypass the hardness of Elderein when used to sunder it.
Germanium alloy armor grants the same protection as a steel armor of the same kind, except it grants a bonus on AC and saving throw against attacks, spell-like and supernatural ability of creatures of the aberration type, outsider with the augmented aberration subtype, creatures with the abomination subtype, outsider native to the far realm, elder evil and obyriths (or other suitable creature matching the eldritch abomination description). The bonus is +1 for light armor, +2 for medium armor and +3 for heavy armor.
Germanium has 25 hit points per inch of thickness and hardness 12. It is immune to the spells, spell-like ability and supernatural ability of creatures vulnerable to it and stays pristine even in the far realm.
