The Handwraps of Terror are a matched pair of Handwraps, made from thin, silvery material and embroidered with black runes and the imagery of skulls. The always appear to be blotched with flesh blood, no matter how often they're cleaned; Once they're washed, the blood returns after 1 round, though it never drips or bleeds into a liquid the weapons are submerged in.

Unarmed strikes made with Handwraps of Terror deal additional Psychic damage equal to the target's Intelligence modifier (Min +0), as glimpses of terrifying memories or imaginary nightmares briefly flash into their conscious mind upon being struck.

When you score a critical hit with an unarmed strike augmented by Handwraps of Terror, the Handwraps release a high-pitched shrieking sound, audible out to 300ft, and the target must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 8 + your Proficiency bonus + the target's Intelligence modifier). On a failed save, the target is Frightened of you until the beginning of your next turn, as a nightmarish vision paints you as the object of its fear.
