Headache[edit]

A pain in the head hampers your ability to focus.

Headaches can be symptoms of many conditions, such as tension, spinal trauma, pressure, or diseases. The throbbing pain prevents focusing and accuracy. Spellcasting (even divine spellcasting and psionics) and other acts which require Concentration checks in response to damage have a 20% fail chance. You take a −4 penalty on Listen, Spot, and any checks which take more than 1 round to complete. You also take a −2 morale penalty to attack and AC.

Headaches usually go away on their own in 1d4 hours after they start. Creatures which do not feel pain cannot have headaches. A more serious form of headaches are migraines.
