Hexmaster Mesmerist
Witches often take on irregular apprentices, especially outcasts to societies. Sometimes a witch will teach her art of a psychically sensitive individual, who develops the ability to inflict a hexing gaze upon their foes. The hexmaster mesmerist is well-learned in curses and ailments, but does not have a knack for hypnotic healing.
Class: Mesmerist
Level: 1st-17th
Replaces: Consummate Liar, Mesmerist Trick (1st only), Manifold Trick, Touch Treatment
Benefit: A mindrender mesmerist gain the following class features:
Occult Scholar (Ex): A hexmaster mesmerist uses her Intelligence instead of her Charisma for all mesmerist class features (including spellcasting). A hexmaster mesmerist may use all Knowledge checks untrained and gain a bonus on all Knowledge checks equal to half her class level.
This ability replaces consummate liar.
Occult Hex (Su): At 1st, 3rd, 6th, 10th and 14th level a hexmaster mesmerist gains a Witch's Hex, using her mesmerist level as her effective witch level. If she takes a harmful hex which targets a creature, she may only use it against the target of her Hypnotic Stare.
This ability replaces the first level mesmerist trick and touch treatment.
Psychic Witchcraft (Ex): At 5th level the hexmaster mesmerist adds a single spell from the witch spell list of any level she is capable of casting to her spell known. She treats the chosen spell as a mesmerist spell for all intent and purposes. At 9th level and each 4 levels thereafter, the hexmaster mesmerist may choose another witch spell to add to her spell known and change a spell previously chosen through this ability for another spell of the same level.
This ability replaces Manifold Trick.
