GUILTY. Your punishment is a 5 day death sentence in hellfire, as well as a summary kick to the jaw.

Said to have once been angels (though their elemental nature seems to reject this) or some manner of genie, these enforcers of law had taken their zeal too far and too brutally. As punishment for their excessive force they were banished to prisons within the Plane of Fire and the Lower Planes where their hate and disgust continued to twist and distort their forms. Sometimes they escape, and they begin to purge a world they see as blanketed in sin with purifying flames.

They appear to be humanoid masses of fire, with a charred black skull for a head as their only consistently solid piece. They also tend to clad themselves in stone and steel armor made molten by their raging heat with some entirely cladding themselves in full plate and almost passing for human if not for the fact their insides glow with heat and smoke pours from their forms. They are known for their flaming lashes and ability to project bolts of flame and cast dangerous spells.

They are between 6 ft to 7 ft tall and speak Common, Ignan, and Infernal.

Combat[edit]

Infernal punishers and infernal hunters (collectively known as Infernal Enforcers) are zealous hunters of those they consider their prey. They employ ambushes to gain the advantage, and fear and terror tactics to drive away opposition. The punisher can tank with the best of them with its stronger AC, while the hunter stalks and harasses until their opponent is defeated. Rendering the opponent as powerless as possible is important.

Burn (Ex): A infernal punisher’s or infernal hunter's slam attack deals bludgeoning damage plus fire damage from the its flaming body. Those hit by their slam attack also must succeed on a DC 20 Reflex save or catch on fire. The flame burns for 1d4 rounds. A burning creature can take a move action to put out the flame. The save DC is Constitution-based.

Creatures hitting the infernal punisher or hunter with natural weapons or unarmed attacks take fire damage as though hit by its slam attack, and also catch on fire unless they succeed on a Reflex save.

Divine Grace (Su): The infernal punisher and infernal hunter gains a bonus equal to their Charisma bonus (if any) on all saving throws.

Ember Shot (Sp): The infernal punisher and infernal hunter possess the ember shot ability of a Flameseeker of their level. The examples above have a range of 45 ft.

Flameshape (Su): The infernal punisher and infernal hunter possess the flameshape ability of a Flameseeker of their level.

Immunities: The infernal punisher and infernal hunters are immune to fire. They have immunity to critical hits and sneak attacks, flanking, paralysis, poison, sleep, and stunning.

Molten Armor (Ex): Both the infernal punisher and the infernal hunter cloak themselves in living magma, parts which are cooler and solid to form form fitting armor of stone and steel. The infernal punisher is effectively wearing full plate armor while the infernal hunter is wearing chain shirt, though neither have a maximum Dexterity to their respective armors. They can "don" the armor as a full round action, though if it is somehow destroyed they cannot reform it for 24 hours.

Smite (Su): The infernal punisher and infernal hunter can both smite like a paladin of their level (2/day for the above examples). However they are not limited by alignment, as they will gladly smite anyone they see as guilty in their eyes.

Spell-Like Abilities (Sp): Infernal Punishers have the following spell-like abilities: At will-burning hands (DC 17), heat metal (DC 18), produce flame, pyrotechnics (DC 18); 3/day-guilt (DC 18), reveal greatest sin (DC 20); 1/day-dimensional anchor, fear (DC 20), fireball (DC 19), mark of justice. The saving throws are Charisma based.

Infernal Hunters have the following spell-like abilities: At will-burning hands (DC 20), heat metal (DC 21), produce flame, pyrotechnics (DC 21); 3/day-guilt (DC 21), reveal greatest sin (DC 23); 1/day-fear (DC 23), fireball (DC 22), mark of justice, scrying (DC 23). The saving throws are Charisma based.
