Inscribed[edit]

This enhancement acts as a reusable scroll, and can absorb text and symbol effects from other sources. The armor may store any one spell on it as a scroll, and the text vanishes as it is cast. The wearer may activate the inscribed spell as if they were a member of the appropriate class, though they must still have a high enough appropriate ability score. It may be re-inscribed at any time after it is expended at the cost of scribing another scroll.

It also may absorb text on touch erasing or copying it from its source and holding up to 5 pages of mundane text or images along its surface. Alternatively they may absorb one glyph or symbol spell, including explosive runes if one manages not to trigger them. To assist in this, the user of the armor gains a +4 bonus on saving throws against symbol spells, and can make an attempt at identifying such spells without triggering them with a successful Spellcraft check. If they absorb a glyph or symbol spell, they may cast it as if it were inscribed as a scroll.

They may dismiss any text currently held in their armor as a free action.

Moderate Transmutation; CL 4th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, secret page; Price: +1.
