Ionized[edit]

Ionize your weapon, gain electricity damage and more efficiency on your electricity spells.

This weapon enhancement is only available for metallic melee weapons. The metal that composes the weapon becomes stylized with very linear geometric patterns and always glows with a faint shimmering bluish light. An ionized weapon is capable of storing electricity in the form of ionic charges. It can store a number of ionic charges equal to 5 times the weapon's enhancement bonus. When the wielder of the weapon attacks, he can expend one ionic charge from the weapon to deal an additional 2d6 electricity damage. If he is under the effect of Ionic Generator spell or has the Ionize feat, he can use the charges he has instead and if he is able to use an effect that deals electrical damage using the ionized weapon, damage increases by +1d6.

In addition, when the wielder of an ionized weapon casts a spell from the [Electricity] register with a gesture component, he can expend one ionic charge to make the spell pass through the weapon before casting it. The spell's DC then increases by an amount equal to the weapon's enhancement bonus.
