Light Weapon
Transmutation
Level: Duskblade 2, Sorcerer/Wizard 2
Components: V, S, M
Casting time: 1 standard action
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target: One weapon
Duration: 1 round/level (D)
Saving Throw: Fortitude partial
Spell Resistance: Yes

With a sigh of rushing air, the sword suddenly became a lot lighter, almost flying out of your grip.

You make a weapon unusually light for the duration of the spell. On a failed save the target weapon weight is halved, its damage size goes down by one, and the ease of use goes down by one catagory (two-handed becomes one-handed, one-handed becomes light, and light remains light but gains other properties). A light weapon that has become super-light does not have the penalties for two-weapon fighting using it as a weapon. On the other hand, its damage it deals is always minimum, and the target takes a -4 on Disarm and Sunder checks. This can be a buff, if trying to attack in a grapple or two-weapon fight, or a bane if weapon damage and power attack options drop.

On a successful save, the weapon's mass is briefly disrupted, causing a -2 penalty on the next attack roll made within 1 round.

Material Component: A fragment of aerogel.
