Very few are crazier than wizards; those people are the Mad Hybridizers. They use unethical research techniques to create abominations to nature and make themselves horrible creatures that should not see the light of day.

Becoming a Mad Hybridizer[edit]

Entry Requirements  
Skills: Heal 10 Ranks, Knowledge (Arcana) 10 Ranks, Knowledge (Nature) 10 Ranks. 
Feats: Forbidden Knowledge
Special: Must have studied a textbook about Mad Hybridization and dissected an Owlbear.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Mad Hybridizer.

Advancement and Partial Advancement: At every even level, you gain class features (including spellcasting ability) and an increase in effective level as if you had also gained a level in a base class to which you belonged to before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain the benefit of your previous class's HD, attack progression, skill points, or saving throws. If you had more than one class before coming a Mad Hybridizer, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining class features.

However, while your class features are advanced every even level, you count your full Mad Hybridizer level for the purpose of scaling class features you already possess, such as caster level or sneak attack dice. This does not stack with the advancement given by this class. Thus, a wizard 3/Mad Hybridizer 5 would have a caster level of 8, and an actual level of 6 for determining spells known and spells per day.

Bonus Feat: At 1st level and each odd level thereafter, a Mad Hybridizer gains a single [Deformity] or [Racial] feat she meets the prerequisites for as a bonus feat.

Dissection Knowledge (Su): At 1st level, a Mad Hybridizer can capture a recently dead creature and dissect them, a process that takes 1 hour to complete. After the dissection, the Mad Hybridizer gains an increased ability to combat creatures of the same type. Select a type from the ranger's favored enemy list. She may ignore any fortification or immunity to critical hits, and gains a +2 bonus to attack rolls and +2d6 damage against creatures of that type. This lasts until the Mad Hybridizer dissects another creature, re-assigning the bonus.

Insane Surgery (Su): A Mad Hybridizer may perform an invasive and terrible surgery over the course of 10 minutes. She may replicate the effect of anthropomorphize animal or disguise form. She may use her Insane Surgery a number of times per day equal to her Intelligence modifier.

At 3rd level, she may replicate awaken or evince lineage with her mad surgery.

At 5th level, she may replicate the effect of create life; however, she may only create creatures with the Perfect Hybrid template or other hybrid creature such as an owlbear.

Genetic Chimera: A 2nd level Mad Hybridizer counts as any race for the purpose of qualifying for racial prerequisites. Additionally, she gains the Shapechanger Subtype.

Self-Hybridization: At 2nd and 4th level, a Mad Hybridizer gains the Perfect Hybrid template at no Level Adjustment with any ECL 1 race.

Genetic Abomination (Su): A 4th level Mad Hybridizer becomes an Aberration with her Augmented former subtype.

Monstrous Hybridization (Su): A 4th level Mad Hybridizer is capable of turning into an horrible chimera. As a full-round action, she may replicate the effect of bite of the werewolfSpC at will. However, once the spell expires, she takes 1 point of Constitution Burn; if she is somehow immune to Constitution Burn or has no Constitution score, she may not use this ability.

If she is at least 15th level, she may replicate the effect of bite of the weretigerSpC; however, the Constitution Burn increases to 3.
