This small box has a lens on the front acting as an eye. It captures images, displaying them on a black glass surface on the back of the box.
This device captures images as illusions which are stored inside the box and may be viewed on the back of the box. It can store up to 20 images, more attempts at taking pictures fails until images are deleted. As a standard action, the device can project a stored image onto a flat sheet of paper or canvas up to 5 ft square. You can choose to delete the image after transferring, or keep it to print it on multiple sheets of paper.
The device takes pictures as if it were a normal human eye, and thus is defeated by illusions, fog, and darkness.
Some versions come with a built in lenstone, costing an additional 100 gp. These magic picture boxes can zoom onto far away objects as if using a spyglass.
