Mindscape Torture

An insidious power which sends both the manifester and the target into an astral mindscape for 1 round. The manifester has total and absolute power over the realm and uses it to torment the target. The manifester can bend the rule of time and space and thus make the single round feel like centuries if she wishes so. If the manifester chooses to torment the target she may inflict one of the following effect upon it:

No matter what, the target take 4 points of Ability Burn to all it's mental ability scores from the incredible stress placed upon its mind. The target is allowed an initial Will save, on a success she shrug off the attempt to drag it into mindscape, negating the power.

If the target is dragged in the mindscape, the target is allowed a new Will save. If it fails the manifester may learn any information that the target knows through interrogation and mental probing.

Even if the manifester do not use this power for torment, it is taxing on the target and still take the 8 point of Ability Burn to all its mental ability scores. Thus it is rarely used for anything but its intended purposes but technically can be.

If the power is successful but interrupted within the round both the manifester and target are in the mindscape, then the target simply take 2 points of Ability Burn to all its mental ability score. This can be done with a successful dispel attempt, striking the manifester and causing it to fail a concentration check to maintain the power or a reality revision power.

Augment: You can augment this power in one or more of the following ways.

1. For each 2 additional power points you spend, you can inflict an additional condition upon them.

2. For each 2 additional power points you spend, you increase the ability burn dealt to each mental ability score by 1.

3. For 4 additional power points you spend, you may brainwash the target if it fails its secondary will save. This make the target fanatical toward the manifester. This effect can only be reverted by a ’’reality revision’’ or psychic chirurgery power.

4. For 4 additional power points you spend, you may utterly break the will of the target. This renders them catotonic and helpless permanently on a failed secondary will save. This effect can only be reverted by a ’’reality revision’’ or psychic chirurgery power.

For every two additional power points you spend on any augmentation, the DC rises by +1.
