A small round bellied tapir is floating in front of you. You think it is asleep.

Minor psychic parasites from the Plane of Dreams, they harmlessly feed off the psychic aura of sleeping individuals. This feeding is subtle and doesn't harm its host, but rarely it feeds off of a psionic mind who wakes suddenly, dragging them out of the Plane of Dreams and stranding them on the material plane. They continue their wandering existence, but are often left in a state of constant slumber as they try to find their way back home.

While the mo is intelligent, it is not known to speak and only makes mumbles and psychic humming noises. It sleeps 18 hours a day, and can often be found taking micro-naps even when awake.

Mo are non-violent creatures, and lack any real form of offense. They will try to run from any alarmed or hostile individuals.

Drowze (Ps): The mo uses a psonic version of lullaby at will, but only once per minute.

Sleepwalk (Ex): A sleeping mo is not helpless, and in fact can see and hear normally even with its eyes closed. It can take a single move action each round. While asleep, charms and compulsions are suppressed. A mo can fall asleep, or wake up, over the course of a full round action at will.

Animal Companion and Familiar[edit]

The mo can be taken as a familiar. It can also be taken in place of a psicrystal, gaining the psicrystal benefits (but not a psicrystal personality). It counts as either a familiar or a psicrystal. It grants the owner a +3 bonus to Psicraft or Spellcraft checks.
