Monk of the Higher Way[edit]

A path closely associated with the chaotic good monk Sun Bei, she was once a student of a much darker path before her order crumbled into dust. She abandoned her former path and found an old master sitting a mountain, he though her all about strength and combat but the training left her spiritually drained. She eventually settled, deciding that both teaching she received were not the one meant for her and funded her own way.

The Way of the Higher Path focus on altruism and harmony, when one properly focus on the higher path they gain the ability to share their monk abilities, become highly resistant to unnatural effects such a spells as well as many powerful defensive abilities.

Becoming a Monk of the Higher Way[edit]

Entry Requirements  
Alignment: Any Good. 
Skills: Knowledge (Arcana) or (Religion) 11 ranks. 
Feats: Dancing Blossom Stance
Class Features: Still Mind. 
Special: Dedicate yourself to the way of the Higher Path and possess a manuscript of the Way of the Higher Path, may not take levels in monk of the tiger force.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Monk of the Higher Path.

Armored in Altruism (Su): A 1st level monk of the higher path know that focusing on the 'self' too much is misleading and dangerous, the monk of the higher path grant her monk AC bonus (not counting her wisdom modifier) to all allies within 30 feet of her.

Monk Abilities: Levels in monk of the higher way stack with monk for advancing class features and count as effective monk levels. It does not grant new features you do not have, but pre-existing features (such as flurry of blows, speed bonus, and unarmed strike damage) are advanced. A monk of the higher way no longer force the lawful only restriction of the monk class.

Quieted Mind (Su): A 2nd level monk of the higher path's meditation allowed her to calm her own negative emotion. She is always under the effect calm emotion but she may choose to exclude certain emotion from being calmed as a non-action (thus she would be able to not end a good hope spell used on her or become an emotionless robot).

Spell Resistance: A 2nd level monk of the higher path gain spell resistance equal to her character level +11. If she already had spell resistance the highest of the two source is increased by 2. She may suppress or resume her spell resistance as a non-action.

At 5th level she may grant her spell resistance to any willing allies within 30 feet as a non-action.

At 8th level her spell resistance now apply to spells and spell-like abilities that do not grant spell resistance as well as supernatural effect.

Silence the Storm (Ex): A 3rd level monk of the higher path is able to quite the element around her, she is always under the effect of adapt body, she may have all allies within 30 feet of her also benefit from it. Unlike the power she automatically adapt to new environment.

Pure Body (Ex): A 3rd level monk of the higher path is immune to all poison and disease (including magical disease and poison).

Harmonic Resonance (Su): A 4th level monk of the higher path may share any effect that affect her with another creature adjacent to her (such as a buff or a spell targeted her). Both the monk of the higher path and the adjacent creature are allowed a saving throw, spell resistance and everything allowed by the original effect.

At 9th level she may either share the effect with any number of adjacent creature or any creature within 100 feet of her.

Universal Transfer (Su): A 4th level monk of the higher path gain is capable of transfering her self from place to the other using her affinity with the universe. This is effectively allow her to teleport the 10 feet per class level ability as a move action.

At 7th level she may use universal transfer at an unlimited range. Additionally If she concentrate for 1 hour she can also replicate the effect of area teleport.

All in One (Su): A 5th level monk the higher path is able to sense through other creature, she again the ability to use forced sense link as a supernatural ability will, on a failed will save the targeted creature is unaware the monk of the higher path is seeing through it sense.

Spread Lifeforce: A 6th level the monk of the higher path gain the wholeness of body ability of a monk if she didn't already had it. If she already had it she can heal twice as much hit point (not using dnd standard multiplication) as normal. Additionally whenever she use wholeness of body to heal she can heal any allies within 30 feet for the same amount at no additional charge.

Commune with the Universe (Su): At 7th level the monk of the higher path can communicate directly with the universe, kinda. With 10 minute of meditation she can replicate the effect of commune with nature (except it work everywhere) combined with commune (except it never lie, although no omniscient). She may use this ability a number of time per day equal to her wisdom modifier.

Discard Earthly Anchors (Su): A 8th level monk of the higher path has let go of earthly bounds allowing him to become ethereal as a 1 round action. There is no limit of time he can stay ethereal, he can return to material existence as a move action.

Harmonic Negation (Su): At 10th level, a monk of the higher path is capable of completely negating a single effect that target her or another creature within 100 feet of her, whether benign or malign as an immediate action. If the effect was an area of effect, she make a 10 feet radius per character level safe zone centered on her or the targeted creature within it instead of completely suppressing it. When you use this ability you may not use it again for 5 rounds.

Universal Oneness: A 10th level monk of the higher path partly become one with the universe, she cease to age (reverting all aging penalties she previously received), gain DR 10/evil, become immune to vile damage and if slain she return to life as per true resurrection a year later at the location of her choice (unless specific effort is taken to prevent his resurrection such as trapping her soul).

Her connection to the universe grant her incredible sense, she is always under the effect of touchsight augmented to her effective monk level. She is however unable to detect extraplanar and creature from alternate dimension with her 'universal sense'.
