Night Sorcerer
Night sorcerers are descendants of an ancient cabal of nightcasters, who drew their power from the night sky. While the ancient cult is no more, their children and children's children have inherited a portion of their power. Night sorcerers are usually sorcerers of the arcane or shadow bloodline, but some of them have more exotic lineage.
Class: Sorcerer
Level: 1st, 5th, 7th, 15th, 19th
Replaces: Bloodline Arcana, Bloodline Spells
Benefit: A night sorcerer gains the following spells.
Night Arcana (Ex): Whenever you cast a spell with the [darkness] descriptor increase the spell’s DC by 1, if that spell deals damage, it deals +1 point of damage per die rolled.
This ability replaces the sorcerer's bloodline arcana.
Alternate Bloodline Spell: A night sorcerer's bloodline spells are altered, at the listed level she gain the spells instead of the spells normally granted by her bloodline: twilight haze (5th), gloomblind bolt (7th), umbral strike (15th), polar midnight (19th).
- 1. Gain the darkness descriptor.
This ability alters the night sorcerer's bloodline spell.
Night-Sighted (Ex): A 1st level night sorcerer may trade her 1st level bloodline power for darkvision out of 60 ft. If she later gain darkvision from a permanent source she instead regain her 1st-level bloodline power.
Nocturne Magic (Ex): A 13th level night sorcerer is able to augment her spells with the power of the night. Firstly her spells with the [darkness] descriptor are no longer suppressed or dispelled by a light spell, unless that spell is two levels higher than her own spell. Secondly she gains Umbral Spell as a bonus feat, even if she does not meet the prerequisites. Three times per day, she may apply the Umbral Spell feat to any spell she casts without raising its spell level.
This ability replaces the bonus feat gained at 13th level.
