Pack Mother Druid[edit]

A druid who sees their calling as the role of the alpha wolf in a pack, instead of as a caretaker of the natural order.

Class: Druid

Level: 1-20

Replaces: The pack mother druid alternate class feature is actually two separate alternate class features. What is replaced varies depending on which class feature is selected. Both alternate class features can be selected at the same time, of course.

Non-Spellcaster Pack Mother Druid[edit]

Replaces: The non-spellcaster pack mother druid gains no spellcasting ability. They gain no spells known and do not gain spells per day.

Extra Animal Companions: The non-spellcaster pack mother druid gains her normal animal companion at first level.

Additionally, at level one, the pack mother druid gains a second animal companion. This second animal companion is treated the same as her normal animal companion, except that her druid level is treated as being equal to her actual Druid level + 1 for the purpose of improving the animal companion's statistics.

At level four, the non-spellcaster pack mother druid gains a third animal companion. For this animal companion, her druid level is treated as being equal to her actual Druid level - 1 for the purpose of improving the animal companion's statictics.

If a non-spellcaster pack mother druid has levels in another class that has access to an animal companion, the levels from that class stack with her druid level for all three of her animal companions.

Non-Wild-Shape Pack Mother Druid[edit]

Replaces: The non-wild-shape pack mother druid does not gain the wild shape class feature or any of it's later upgrades.

Extra Animal Companions: The non-spellcaster pack mother druid gains her normal animal companion at first level.

Additionally, at level five, the pack mother druid gains a second animal companion. This second animal companion is treated the same as her normal animal companion, except that her druid level is treated as being equal to her actual Druid level - 1 for the purpose of improving the animal companion's statistics.

At level seven, the non-wild-shape pack mother druid gains a third animal companion. For this animal companion, her druid level is treated as being equal to her actual Druid level - 2 for the purpose of improving the animal companion's statictics.

If a non-wild-shape pack mother druid has levels in another class that has access to an animal companion, the levels from that class stack with her druid level for all three of her animal companions.

An Aside[edit]

Be warned: This alternate class feature can become overly complicated if animal companion information is not properly organized and shared between Player and DM. The player using this alternate class feature must be aware of everything pertaining to their animal companions at any given time.
