Choo choo! Now boarding the Gold Line: Material Plane making stops at the Astral Plane and Baator, all aboard!

You create a planar train, a gargantuan sized train which can hold up to 2 huge, 4 large, 8 medium, 16 small, 32 tiny, 64 diminutive, or 128 fine sized creatures within comfortably, as well as being able to pull along up to 400 tons (or 800,000 lbs) of material, if it can fit. The train requires no rails, floating on ghostly ethereal rails that it creates as it goes and which evaporate behind it. It has an effective fly speed of 200 ft. (poor), is capable of "running", and at top speed has an overland movement of 90 miles per hour. It does not have a minimum fly speed, perfectly fine hovering in place when at a standstill.

When you cast this spell you touch a creature, who becomes the conductor and controls where the train goes as a free mental command, though only when inside the train. The planar train can be used as a traditional form of transportation, but it can also duplicate the plane shifting effects of shadow walk by traveling for 1d4 hours until it has changed planes. The train can move to any adjutant plane, not just the plane of shadow, though it may need to pass through several planes to get to its destination for wildly disconnected planes.

The planar train is a vehicle which provides cover to those inside. The windows and doors can be closed with a lock (DC 40 Disable Device or Open Lock), but the train is not airtight. The train is immune to environmental effects normal for the plane its on, but its passengers are not so creatures inside still burn on the plane of fire, still suffocate and explode with awesome on the positive energy plane, and so forth. Treat it as if the train was under the effects of adapt body.

The train has hardness 10 and caster level x 20 in hit points, and AC 6 (-4 size). It is immune to ranged projectiles (but not magical touch attacks, rays, and siege weapons). If the conductor leaves the train, the train travels on ahead slowing 50 ft. each round until it comes to a stop or hits an obstacle. The train is considered to have trample with a DC equal to this spell, and deals damage equal to 3d6 + 1.5 times your spellcasting modifier when trampling.

Material Component: A chunk of coal.
