Poison[edit]

Spiders, scorpions, vespids, snakes, and several other mundane creatures are feared for one thing and one thing alone - Their ability to kill with chemical warfare instead of raw might. We instinctually fear these creatures because we fear this method of attack we have no innate way to defend against.

The Poison damage type is meant to represent hit point damage dealt by means of poison, as opposed to the normal ability damage most poisons deal. Creatures immune to Poison will have immunity to Poison damage, obviously, and creatures that have a bonus on saves against Poison can easily be ruled as having energy resistance against Poison attacks.

Saves against Poison are usually Fortitude saves, as Poison affects the body, and Poison effects are usually Conjuration or Transmutation effects (If spells), or Metacreativity or Psychometabolism effects (If powers); Having the Poison descriptor in either case.
