Born of The Sleeping God’s deep passions and angers, she embodies and manifested as primal elemental fire. She burns within the hearts of all mortals and gives them the power to act on their instincts and realize their true potential. She is fierce and bold, willing to take control and pursue her own purposes.
She lives at the core of many worlds, churning the stone of Gund into a molten sea. Her fires burn strong and her might is known through volcanoes and hotsprings. Deep down, it is Gund that shields the surface from the burning power of Raith.
In olden ages, she was the focus of much greater praise, as fire was recognized as a near necessity to survive in a harsh, wild world. Which, beyond fire, Raith was often associated with social natures of mortal folk, as it was her base emotions that functioned as a foundation to bring peoples together. Fire was a seminal tool in allowing civilization to blossom, making life easier to cook or defend your beliefs.
In modern eras, her devoted followers have dwindled, moving on toward less abstract deities who garner a greater presence in the world. Longstanding traditions and superstitious folk are most typically found to bear association with Raith.
Some craftsmen who produce wares that will be exposed to fires, or use fire to produce their wares, carve in the mark of Raith.
Raith is not known to take a personal form.
Dogma[edit]
Fire is life. Some gently flicker while others blaze with a glorious inferno, but all eventually burn out. It isn't about the mark made after the fire goes out, its about the significance the fire made while it burned.
Clergy and Temples[edit]
People pray to Raith to let the fires warm their bodies and let courage into their hearts.
Shrines of Raith are common in areas of war, where fire is used as a weapon and a tool. These small shrines are often marked with candles, soot and of course, the red triangle associated as her symbol.
Raith rarely heeds the prayers of individuals, which often leads mortals to perform prayer dances around great bonfires to receive the answer or blessing of their desires. Raith loves warfare, though she despises ignorant and senseless brutality, favoring the necessity of groups of people protecting their hard earned beliefs and ways of life.
