Rapid Death Attack [General] Lacking the time to fully study your target in the heat of battle, you use your keen intellect to determine your foe's fatal weak point rather than waste precious seconds in observation.Prerequisites: Spot 10 ranks, 16 Intelligence or higher, Death Attack class featureBenefit: When using a Death Attack, you may shorten the number of rounds used to study your victim, to a minimum of one round. For each round you shorten your study, subtract 2 from the DC of the Fortitude save against death or paralysis. Example: Amy the Assassin has 5 levels of Assassin and an Intelligence modifier of +5. She wants to death attack her target, but only has one round before her target becomes aware of her. She shortens her study time to 1 round, then makes her attack the following round while her target is still flat-footed. She hits her target, who must now succeed on a DC 16 Fortitude save (10 + 5 levels of Assassin + 5 Int modifier -4 shortening study time by two rounds) or become either paralyzed or dead.Normal: An Assassin must study a target for 3 rounds before making a Death Attack attempt.
