Rien's Spontaneous Regression
Illusion (Phantasm) [Mind-Affecting]
Level: Sorcerer/Wizard 3
Components: S, V
Casting time: 1 round
Range: Touch
Target: Creature touched
Duration: 1 round/level; see text
Saving Throw: Will negates
Spell Resistance: No

Forcing the target’s mind to return to a pleasant time of their life, they become unable to recognize those presently around them. Each round that the target is under the effect of Rien's spontaneous regression, they must make a Will save regardless of past successes or failures. If they fail, they are dazed and flat-footed until the beginning of their next turn.

If a creature fails five saving throws against this spell, its effects become permanent, rendering them helpless. The spell’s effects can, however, be reversed by break enchantment, greater restoration, limited wish, wish, or miracle.

Special: Potions of this spell are called Potions of Refrain.
