Royal Scion
A royal scion is a character descended from royalty, whether the bastard of the current king or the descendant of the first monarch of the land. They are less versatile than a normal bard, but inspire their allies with bold tactics and draw from the strength of their lineage.
Class: Pathfinder Bard
Level: 1st-20th
Replaces: Weapon Proficiency, Bardic Knowledge, Inspire Courage, Fascinate, Versatile Performance, Well-Versed, Suggestion, Mass Suggestion, Deadly Performance
Benefit: A royal scion receive the following class features:
Weapon Proficiency: A royal scion has the same proficiency as the bard, except that she is proficient with the bastard sword instead of a whip.
Scion's Flair (Ex): A royal scion add half her class level to her Intimidate, Knowledge (Local) and Knowledge (Nobility and Royalty) checks.
Inspire Endeavor (Ex): This bardic performance acts as Inspire Courage except that it also grants any one Teamwork feat she possesses to all allies under the effect of the performance. Her allies do not need to meet the feat's prerequisites. This replaces the morale bonus against charm and fear effects normally granted by Inspire Courage. The Royal Scion may switch which Teamwork feat she grants as a swift action. This counts as Inspire Courage for all intent and purposes.
Awesome Command (Su): A royal scion possesses a supernatural level of authority, she may spend one round of her bardic performance per day to replicate the effect of command. This counts as a bardic performance, but can be done while the royal scion is maintaining another performance. Once a creature succeeds it save against Awesome Command they are immune to it for 24 hours.
At 18th level she can replicate the effect of greater command instead.
Tactical Knowledge: At 2nd level a royal scion gains a Teamwork feat she meets the prerequisite for as a bonus feat. She gains another of such feat at 6th level and each 4 levels thereafter. A number of times equal to her Charisma modifier per day, A royal scion may spend a standard action to switch her latest Teamwork feat for another she meets the prerequisite for. This change is permanent until changed again.
Channel Lineage (Ex): A 8th level royal scion can tap into her lineage, gaining the insight of her royal ancestors. As a swift action she may grant herself a +4 insight bonus to either her Strength, Constitution or Charisma for 1 minute. She can use this ability once per day at 8th and an additional time per day at each 4 levels thereafter. If she activates this ability again before its duration elapses, the new bonus overrules the previous bonus.
Kingly Presence (Ex): At 20th level royal scion has unlocked the full potential of her lineage. She may grant any number of Teamwork feats she has to her allies when she uses Inspire Endeavor. When she uses Channel Lineage she may choose two ability scores to augment instead of one.
