Sisyphus's Burden

You can carry more… but you have to carry more.

Benefit: Your carrying capacity is increased as though your Strength were 4 points higher. You're treated as only carrying a medium load when carrying a heavy load for the purposes of your Maximum Dexterity bonus to your AC and your check penalty to skills.

Drawback: Whenever you're only burdened by a light load, you take a –3 morale penalty on skill checks, ability checks, attack rolls and saving throws. This penalty is reduced to –1 when burdened by a medium load and negated when carrying a heavy load.

Special: Must be able to suffer morale penalties. Heavy armor still encumbers you as normal.

Roleplaying Ideas: Perhaps your burden is a form of penance for past deeds. Maybe you were a slave in the past and now carrying heavy loads is the only way to feel "normal". Maybe you were cursed by the gods.
