You call a bolt of lightning down from the sky to strike your opponents. The spell fails if there is not an unobstructed path to the sky within range.
Choose a point you can see within range; A bolt of lightning flashes down from the sky to that point. Each creature within 5 feet of that point must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature suffers 3d6 points of Lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful save.
If you are outdoors in stormy conditions when you cast this spell, the spell allows you to call the bolt from the existing storm. Under such conditions, the spell’s damage increases by 1d6
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd or higher level, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 1st.
