Living Jar Fighter Substitution Levels[edit]

Race: Living Jar

The Soldjars of Fortune are a mercenary company of heroic living jars, who use their explosive power as a weapon.

Jar of Fortune (Ex): At 1st level, instead of a fighter bonus feat, soldjars gain the feat Jar of Fortune for free.

Cannon Jar (Ex): At third level soldjars learn to better control their explosive tendencies. Once per day per Constitution modifier (minimum one) they may channel their explosion through the opening on the top, allowing for a more controlled force to exit. As a full-round action they may generate an explosion in a 40 feet line, with the same save DC of their Jar of Fortune feat, dealing the same type and amount of damage. Doing so, result in a temporary Damage Susceptibility to physical damage equal to the amount of d6s rolled, which lasts until they are hit by a physical attack or until they recover at least that amount of hit points. They may also choose to prepare (full-round action that provokes attacks of opportunity) any throwing weapon or projectiles in their own body (up to one per Constitution modifier - minimum one). They may throw them as thrown weapons as a standard action, one at the time, making a standard ranged, thrown attack with a range of 60 feet (or the weapon's range, if better), adding the weapon enhacements to the roll, as any other effects. This feature does not substitute others.

Burst Cannon: At fifth level soldjars may choose to use the Cannon Jar explosion attack as a 20 feet cone, instead of a line. This feature does not substitute others.

Jar Warfare: At seventh level a soldjar becomes adept into the use of its own body as a cannon. They may make the explosive Cannon Jar attack as a standard action instead of a full-round action, and they increase the range of their explosion upon death to 30 feet. They may also use the thrown attack option into their normal attack routine, instead of needing a standard action. This feature does not substitute others.

Cluster Throw: At 9th level soldjars can use the Cannon Jar option for throwing weapons as a single shot to launch all the weapons at once. As a standard action the soldjar throws all of its throw weapons or projectiles stored making separate rolls for each one using its highest bonus. The targets must be within 30 feet of each other in the range of the attack. This feature does not substitute others.
