Swordsmith [Item Creation]
Prerequisites: Craft (weapons) 4 ranks.Benefit: A character with this feat gains the following benefits:
- When you spend 15 minutes sharpening a sword with a whetstone, the weapon gains a +1 enhancement bonus to damage for the first successful hit with it and an additional hit per your ranks in the appropriate Craft skill.
- You gain the benefits of the Craft Magic Arms & Armor feat but only for the purpose of crafting swords. You count your caster level for these purposes as your ranks in the appropriate Craft –3.
- You gain a +2 bonus on Craft skill checks made to craft swords.
- You never ruin your materials if you fail your Craft skill check to make a sword by 5 or more.
- You craft swords twice as fast as normal.
Special: This feat can be altered to apply to other suitable weapon types instead when chosen, such as axes, spears, daggers and the like. It can be taken multiple times, applying to a different chosen weapon type each time.
