Virtual Feat[edit]

Perhaps this can be a virtual feat for blindfighting (meeting prereqs and such)? --Andrew Arnott (talk, email) 17:26, April 22, 2010 (UTC)

This is genial, the right alternative to an already decent feat
RatedFavor.png Undead Knave favors this article and rated it 4 of 4!
This is a wonderful method to resolve concealment penalties.
RatedLike.png Quey likes this article and rated it 3 of 4.
An interesting and playable alternative to Blind-Fight. It's a fair trade-off.

RatedFavor.png Ghostwheel favors this article and rated it 4 of 4!
Really cool feat as a substitute for Blind-Fighting, especially since it allows you to completely reduce miss chance while taking a penalty to attack--and rather than a set penalty, you can go as low as you're comfortable to go.

It's maybe a tad powerful for a Fighter-level feat (-5 to attack to completely negate concealment is a fantastic trade-off), but the highly situational nature of it keeps it below Rogue-level. It serves as a far more flexible replacement for a core feat that's just a little below par, and that's certainly a good thing. It's very creative, too — I've never before seen such interaction between d% rolls and other rolls. It doesn't thrill me, honestly, but there are no real flaws to it, so it deserves the Excellent rating.

I would never take blind-fight, but I would take this. Them invisible pixies are going to have a harder time dodging now. And the fact that I can remove the invisibility altogether whereas before I could not means that this is an effective addition to the fighter feats.

Fascinating new take on moving miss chances. Trading percentage miss for reductions in attack bonus? I'll take it! Approved!

RatedLike.png Wildmage likes this article and rated it 3 of 4.
Never realy liked Blind-Fighting, now this is somthing I would take

RatedFavor.png Aarnott favors this article and rated it 4 of 4!
It probably seems weird that this feat is getting good ratings across the board, but it really is such an elegant mechanic to fix blindfighting.
