Epic, but how does it compare to electrum? It seems just to be some comet-based electrum before electrum became available to the land.

I'm making use of it now. It's complex, but it has a lovely and unique effect and even helps magic items like staves.

Suddenly questions![edit]

What if it is both a question and a magic staff? That is, most magic staffs are also quarterstaffs. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 13:56, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

Homebrew or SRD?[edit]

Simple question; Is this Homebrewed content, or published content?

Also, if it is published, what work does it come from so that I might cite it for our campaign?

>Follow-up: The reason I'm asking is because I see that it's under the 3.5e Homebrew footnote, but I've seen this listed among SRD-lists, along with many, many more. This is the only one that stood out as truly appealing to me, and this is why I'm asking. The footnote says Homebrew, but it's been listed among SRD-lists. So which is it?

This is homebrew, SRD stuff has "SRD:" before it. You say its showing up in an SRD list? Can you link the relevant page? That shouldn't be happening. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 13:04, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
Orichalcum was also once listed at Canon:Special Materials, where its source is also unresolved. Daranios (talk) 15:02, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
Ah, appears to have been removed from the page. It was referred to in the talk page though. It was probably an error on their part, "Orichalcum" is a legendary material that is in many games and sources but doesn't have a D&D counterpart, to my knowledge, save homebrew. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 15:48, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
I've found references that point to a couple of obscure 3rd party d20 products (Green Ronin's "Advanced Gamemaster's Guide" and Eternity Publishing's "Immortal's Handbook - Epic Bestiary Vol 1"), but nothing I can confirm with page numbers or anything. And I only got those references from the TV Tropes page... so yeah. - Tarkisflux Talk 18:06, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
I had no idea any official parallels existed in 3.5e to this material. I'll slap a 'this is homebrew' notice on the top of the page, that should help. --Sulacu (talk) 11:50, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
