Threatening Threat[edit]

Where other threats learn to defend and themselves against bullrushes and the like you develop a more straight-forward combat defense as well as learning to attack for even more damage when you have the perfect attack.

Class: Threat (3.5e Class)

Level: 1st

Replaces: If you select this class feature, you lose the Unnatural Force class feature and your Numb class feature progression is changed.

Class Skills (4 + Int modifier per level, ×4 at 1st level)
Bluff (Cha), Climb (Str), Diplomacy (Cha), Gather Information (Cha), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Listen (Wis), Ride (Dex), Search (Int), Sense Motive (Wis), Spot (Wis), Swim (Str), Tumble (Dex).

Damage Reduction: At 2nd level the threat gains Damage Reduction 2/-. Subtract 2 from the damage the threat takes each time he is dealt damage from a weapon or a natural attack. At 6th level, and every second every four threat levels thereafter (10th, 14th, and 18th level), this damage reduction rises by 2 points. Damage reduction can reduce damage to 0 but not below 0. This does not stack with other froms of Damage Reduction.

Vicious Hit: After a long while fighting a threat knows when he has the perfect hit how to deal the most damage possible through force. At 4th level and every four levels thereafter (8th,12th,16th and 20th) the threat gains a+1d8 to damage whenever he confirms a critical attack, if he threatens the critical but does not confirm he deals half the amount of damage through this ability. (rounded down). At 20th level he adds the full amount of damage dice whenever he threatens a critical and does not confirm or whenever he uses the Mighty Blow class feature or when he attacks a flat-footed opponent.

Numb: As a threat grows more accustomed to battle, he begins to grow unfeeling, and numb to the things that seek to kill him. At first level, a threat gains a +1 resistance bonus to his Fortitude save and a +1 enhancement bonus to his natural armor (treat a character that has no natural armor as merely having +0 natural armor). This resistance bonus to the threat's Fortitude save and enhancement bonus to his natural armor increases by an additional +1 at levels 3rd, 5th, 8th, 10th, 13th, 15th, 18th, 20th.
