Toughness GT [General] Benefit: You gain a Tough Die (TD). Each Tough Die you have grants the following benefits:

  • Bonus Hit Points based on your most common HD. For each TD you have, you gain 3 hp if your most common HD is a d4, +1 hp per HD size larger (d4 = +3, d6 = +4, d8 = +5, d10 = +6, d12 = +7)
  • For each TD you have, you gain Bonus Hit Points equal to you Constitution Bonus.
  • You add your TD to your HD for determining the effects of certain abilities on you. Such as the sleep, color spray, holy word spells, Turning and rebuking, how many negative levels it takes to kill you, etc... This is similar to Turn Resistance, but has a broader array of effects it applies against.
  • For each TD you have, you increase amount of negative hitpoints you die at by 5 (-10 --> -15 --> -20 and so on).

This feat can be taken multiple times, each time you gain a TD. Special: If your most common HD is a tie use the larger one. All effects of TD are retroactive. TD never add to DC calculations in any way. The third benefit of TD is similar to Turn Resistance, but has a broader array of effects it applies against, as long as the effect is based on HD it adds its TD to resist it. This stacks with Turn resistance.
