Traditional Teachings [General]
You have learned the traditional ways of your profession, even though you come from an alternate branch of teachings.Prerequisites: Character level 3rdBenefit: Choose a class feature gained at 1st level gained by a class you have levels in that you traded through an alternate class feature or archetype. You gain that class feature, functioning as normal for a character of your class level, such as effect based on class level. However it does not improve further unless you gain the class feature normally at later level (number of uses, extra sneak attack, greater rage, etc).
Example: A ranger trades away favored enemy gained at 1st level, upon taking this feat he gains it. His favored enemy does not improve unless he normally gains favored enemy at later levels, at which point it would improve normally. Alternatively a rogue uses this feat to gain a single dice of sneak attack that he traded away at 1st level, he does not gain any further dice unless he normally would. Finally a paladin regains smite evil traded at 1st level, his smite behaves normally for a paladin of his class level but he only gains a single use unless he normally gains further uses.Special: If the chosen class feature and an alternate class feature have a similar limited usage (bardic music, rage use per day, etc) then both class features draw from the same pool of usage. A barbarian who select this feat to regain rage and has an alternate rage would not gain a new pool of rage, instead he would still be limited by his normal daily limit and would choose which type of rage he activates. You cannot use this feat to gain a class feature which grants a feat.
